We're hiring!

We combine AI with crowdsourcing to create Crowd-AI systems -- such as Evorus, InstructableCrowd, Guardian, and WearMail -- that are usable, robust, and intelligent.

We are looking for highly-motivated PhD, master, and undergraduate students who are interested in crowdsourcing, crowd-powered systems, NLP, and technical HCI.

The followings are some skills we're looking for:

  • Coding Skills: It would be ideal if you can code and build things. If you don't have much experience in programming, we would strongly encourage you to take some programming courses. We especially welcome experienced (full-stack) web developers because crowd-powered systems are often web applications.
  • HCOMP & Crowdsourcing: We're using crowdsourcing as the primary tool to tackle on various problems. If you have experience in HCOMP or crowdsourcing, we're more than happy to talk with you.
  • HCI / NLP: We work on technical HCI and NLP problems a lot. It would be great if you have some experience in technical HCI (e.g., publications at UIST, HCOMP, or technical papers at CHI or CSCW) or NLP (e.g., NLP projects; or publications at ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, COLING, or LREC.) Publication is not strictly required. Just let us know your experience.
  • AI: Although we're not working much on AI problems other than NLP, feel free to reach out if you have experience in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, or other AI fields such as multi-agent.
